1. This book describes the events of World War 2. It is a book about two wonderful characters - Billy and Rose who lost their mother in the war. However they remain determined to find her.

Billy's Blitz explained really well how much pain these innocent people were in during World War 2 and showed how hard they worked to feed, take care of themselves and look after each other.  The book also made me want to find out more about the period in history, especially how Britain won and how strong people were during this time, especially in London where I live.

I loved this book and it was an interesting read, as soon as I started I wanted to read more and more. I would recommend it to anyone aged 8 or over.

2. It is about a boy called Billy trying to survive in the Second World War. When he loses his mum at a bombing, him and his sister Rose are on the mission to find their mum with a little help from a new friend called ‘All Off'.

The main character is Billy. He likes playing with his dog Sheeba. He tries to survive in WW2. I would like him as a friend because he is very caring towards others. He looks like a kind boy.

I like it when they found their mom it made me feel grateful that I have a mom and it made me hope for those living in war now. I liked it when his dad kept coming home because I know how nice it is when I see my brother when he comes home. I liked it when their nan knocked on their door and saved them from being evacuated.

The only part I disliked was the bombing only because it was sad. She couldn't have made it better because it was brilliant. Rose was fearless for a young girl in the war.

Everyone should read this. It is a brilliant book that all ages will enjoy. It would be good for people who are interested in war and drama. The start was my favourite part of the book because it was all peaceful and happy because all of the family was together.

It didn't really have a message but it might be: to never ever give up and that you need to appreciate your family whilst you have them.

I would rate it 5 stars out of 5.

3. This breathtaking story about a boy called Billy and his sister Rose was an outstanding pleasure to read. With no faults and lots of figurtive language the story was great.

The time period for this book is WWii and was set in Balham which made it very interesting . At some points of the book i wished it had better words than said to create an atmosphere.

My favourite character is all-off, he is a friend they find on the way who helps them live rough. During the story it seems there is know way of finding their happy ending. Therefore I rate it 9.5/10 and I'm still searching in the library for ‘ run rabbit run'

4. Billy's Blitz is about a boy named Billy (who was my favourite character because he is brave) experiencing war for the first time.

Set in Balham (1939-1945) World War II, this book BLEW MY MIND. All those adjectives, speeches, astoundingly breath-taking scenes and suspense make one BRILLIANT book! I have this book for proof.

This book is an adventure book. It grabs you in when you feel a sense of doom is looming over them. This book makes you think what's going to happen?

However, it disappointed me that it didn't live up to the full expectations at the end that it created at the start. The ending was much less dramatic than I expected. At the end it was a bit boring compared to the rest of the book., nonetheless it did not alter the fact that it was a brilliant 5 star book.

5.  Billy's Blitz is an impeccable book during world war two full of non-stop action and determination. When Billy and his young sister Rose don't get evacuated from Balham, their home town, and get dissected from their mother when a bomb hits the underground during an air-raid. In their attempts to escape they lost their mother... will they ever find their mum again??????

My favourite character in this book is All-off, a boy who Rose and Billy met in an air-raid shelter and helped Billy and Rose on their journey to find their mum. All-off is sketchy, sneaky, determined, intelligent and still chirpy.

The history in this book is realistic because everything in this book happened as I thought it would but not in a bad way e.g. what happened to all the houses during an air-raid happened how I thought it would (they got destroyed)

Reading this book makes me want to read more from this author because in this book there were no boring parts.

In conclusion I rate this book 100/10.

p.s. this book could give you a heart attack it's so good.
