When did World War I really end?
Scott Lishak
This resource is a sequence of two sessions, including a lesson and an assessment, that challenges the accepted chronology of the end of World War I. It is designed to be taught at the end of a sequence of lessons on World War I, so that students have existing knowledge of the causes and course of the War and some of its key events. The material exposes students to the complexity of the War’s end, challenging them to use evidence to make valid conclusions about the War’s real end point. It was initially designed for use with Year 9 but can be adapted.
