As in Key Stage 1, pupils in Key Stage 2 should also undertake a local study. It could be a local study linked to one of the British areas of study required by the National Curriculum, e.g. your local area in the Roman period, or it could be looking into how aspects of large scale national change have been reflected in your local community. Alternatively, you might study a place, building or site that is relevant locally.
