Medieval

At Key Stage 3, many students will study the development of Church, state and society in Britain from 1066-1509. This provides wide scope for a study of medieval Britain and could include conflicts such as the Norman Conquest, Peasants' Revolt, campaigns in Wales and Scotland and Hundred Years' War; Religious conflicts such as the story of Beckett or the Crusades; political developments such as Magna Carta, and issues that affected society more generally, such as the structure of society,  diseases like the Black Death, medieval culture, farming, trades and towns. The period draws to a close with the Ward of the Roses and the reign of the first Tudor Monarch, Henry VII and his attempts to restore stability.

In this section, you'll find resources to support a study of medieval Britain. We'll add further resources as they are submitted.
