Jacob Brying of Cardiff High School was our Cardiff and South Wales heat winner and he spoke about his local hero: Aneurin Bevan.

 

 

Aneurin "Nye" Bevan (15 November 1897 - 6 July 1960) was a Welsh Labour politician; he was a key figure on the left of the party in the mid-20th century, and prominently served as the Minister of Health during the creation of the National Health Service, in which he played a vital part.
