I would recommend this book to everyone in the world if I could. It is one of the best books I have ever read!

I learnt a lot about the Mary Rose and how divers went down and found treasure and how it was Henry the 3rd favourite war ship. I loved how the divers went down without any diving equipment.

I enjoyed the part where they went into the basement and when they touched the game board and a worm hole opened up.

I learnt that they believed in witches. I liked how the children had to stand up for the little girl accused of witch craft, it had a lot of bravery and friendship. I didn’t like the bit where the king’s adviser accused the divers of stealing the things they found.

My favourite character was the head diver because he had to save a diver who he had fainted. I also enjoyed the part at the end where they found who had been stealing all the things the divers had found except what they found on their last dive.

Deep Sea Diver is an interesting book, because it is about hunting for treasure from sunken pirate ships. Olivia and her friend Aniyah and cousin Ey are playing a game in an old London inn, and get suddenly dragged into the past, where they find themselves in a strange land.

They meet a gang of divers whose job was to recover lost treasure and items from sunken ships for the king. They were worried that the ships they had searched no longer had anything to bring to the surface and they would be in big trouble from the king.

There are some very funny bits in this book. “Dinner is Served” is a great name for a chicken!

I learnt a lot about how people were treated in the olden days, such as being thrown in the stocks or being accused of being a witch. It must have been very scary.
