An Egyptian Escape

Young Quills reviews

1. It was a really good comic strip book and it was really good at the end and how it had the characters point of view of the book's information about the Egyptians.

2. Travelling through time, can there be anything more phenomenal? Yes, doing it twice!

An Egyptian escape is an appealing story about a young boy called Charlie and his mischievous dog, Bandit. The story starts in modern times, but after falling through a huge hole, the story rapidly moves back in time.

After emerging from a cave, Charlie meets a few colourful characters: some good, some bad. Charlie joins forces with Jack and Poppy as they search for an elusive artefact. Finding the artefact becomes very problematic indeed. Will they every find it in time?

From my perspective, this book is a good read, keeping you on your toes with all the twists and turns; however, the historical facts and details are few and far between and perhaps could have been slightly more realistic.

I recommend this book to people who like a quick and easy to follow read, with adventure thrown in.

My overall rating for An Egyptian Escape is 7/10

3. It gives you history facts though the book and on the front cover it looks interesting and I wondered what would happen.

Charlie, the main character, is trying to get an Egyptian  gem eye  from two horrible men, yet the eye is on a cat, so it was a bit  harder to catch.

The history was about Egyptian times. It was realistic because at the start of the story there was a sinkhole in his garden and it takes them on an adventure.  The book gives you lots of Egyptian facts and the illustrations help to tell the story too.

I would recommend the book to little children about six to about ten because of all of the interesting, Egyptian facts.
