Interview with Chris Humpleby, Racing Manager for Varian Stable

Chris Humpleby studied History and Education and is currently Racing Manager for Varian Stable. His role involves strategic thinking and problem solving as he decides which horses to enter in which races in order to achieve the most wins possible by analysing horses. The skillset he gained from studying history has been imperative because it taught him how to analyse, sift through and retain relevant information and write concisely. His past employers were impressed by the transferable skills that history teaches. His advice would be: go for it! Employers go for skills and passion so do something you enjoy.
