Running Meetings
Meetings are an integral part of the life of every department and every school, but securing departmental meeting time, or time to discuss a departmental strategy to contribute to a whole school initiative is not always easy. New subject leaders, who are running meetings for the first time, may also need support to help make the most of the departmental time that they have, to ensure that the department has a voice, feels supported and feels able to develop. The subject leader may also find themselves in the position of having to justify actions, or results, or even history’s position within the school. In this section you will find resources, articles and guides to support the history leader to make effective use of meeting time to support history in the school.
