Since the collapse of Communism, a number of books on the Communist Party of Great Britain (CPGB) have emerged, detailing various aspects of the party’s life; both social and political. While a historical interest has been consistently taken in the CPGB since the 1960s, the ‘pre-Glasnost’ work was, to a large extent, entrenched in the Cold War environment of the time.
