Enactive learning - a Viking trading game to help children understand the full variety of Viking life and culture. They were so much more than the 'vicious Vikings' stereotype.
Aims are for children to:
- learn about the goods traded by the Vikings and the extent of their trading network across Europe and beyond
- appreciate enactively (kinaesthetically) the patterns and processes of Viking trade
- understand where the Vikings fitted in chronologically.
Download the teachers' notes and resources. Instructions to pupils includes information about the goods each Viking group has to trade.
