Ofsted
As the history coordinator, your leadership of the subject will come under the scrutiny of Ofsted at some point sooner or later. Based upon the school subject visits that they carry out, and the history provision that they have seen, Ofsted have produced reports on history provision in our primary and secondary schools as well as case studies of good practice that they have seen. These reports and case studies are designed to highlight good practice and where there is a general trend for development. This, among other things, can be used to help to guide your planning for history in your school.
