Webinar series: Assessing substantive and disciplinary knowledge together in primary history
Session 6: Historical significance
The National Curriculum for History includes concepts of disciplinary knowledge which Ofsted expects to see taught hand in hand with substantive knowledge through Key Stages 1 and 2. This series of practical webinars with Andrew Wrenn will show how subject leaders can assess for progression in different disciplinary concepts but combined with the essential substantive knowledge (content) that should accompany it. They will demonstrate how these concepts can be woven into successive medium term plans, allowing pupils to develop sophisticated schema drawn from diverse content.
