Film series: History and SEND

Do you struggle to engage your lower attaining or EAL pupils in their history lessons? Are you finding it difficult to ensure and demonstrate progression in history with these pupils?
In this series of five short films Sue Temple, assistant programme lead (BA hons and early years) at the university of Cumbria and former teacher and SEN lead, shares an introduction to strategies and approaches to adapt, adopt and try in history to get you thinking about and identifying the needs of your lower attaining and EAL pupils and how you could adapt your teaching of history and your curriculum to suit their needs. Each film provides an introduction to different aspects of practice.
The first two films of this series are available here free to everyone. |
If you would like further support and to develop your thinking and inclusive practice more fully, you may wish to attend Sue's full day course Supporting SEND Pupils in Your Primary History Lessons.
