The HA vision is: history of all for all.
It is a registered charity incorporated by Royal Charter (charity no. 1120261), supporting the teaching, learning and enjoyment of history at all levels and bring together people who share an interest in and love for the past.
The HA aims to inspire, enable and encourage people to get involved with history, whether in the classroom, at college, in the library or at home. The HA believes that the study of history should be accessible to all people at all levels of study.
- Knowledge of and role in representing the teaching of History in schools
- Expertise in school pedagogy
- Extensive branch network across the UK
- Delivery of CPD and resources to support teaching of History in schools
- Provision of and knowledge of opportunities for delivering impact/outreach to schools and wider public
- Working to improve access to History for all
- Working closely with RHS, History UK, IHR and others to promote interests of subject more generally
