Online CPD

If you are having trouble getting out of schools for CPD or your school does not have the funds to pay for a Face to Face Course? Want to take time to explore issues affecting your teaching? Online CPD might be just the thing for you.

HA online CPD courses:

• Run over a month,
• Requiring a notional 20-25 hours involvement
• No special ICT skills are required
• Led by a carefully chosen expert in the field, in order to help you get the most out of the experience.

 

Teaching History for non-specialist teachers

There are a huge range of online CPD units available on this site on such topics as:

All you have to do is to log on and work your way through in your own time. Many parts of these can be used very effectively for in-house departmental training. We also run month-long paid-for supported online CPD led by the author of one of the units.

Many of the podcasts on this site are perfect for updating subject knowledge. Presented by leading academics, these present the latest academic thinking in an accessible yet informative manner.

We can deliver bespoke training days specially designed to meet your needs. One of the HA's specialist CPD trainers will come and deliver the session in your school at a time convenient to you - either full day or half day, minimising cover and travel costs. Or why not join together with other local schools to spread the cost?
