Stories of Oxford Tours: An Oxford Night Out
Event Type: Local / Community
Takes Place: 3rd May 2025
Time: 1-2pm
Venue: Museum of Oxford
Description: Since medieval times Oxford has been famous for its vibrant social and cultural scene, making it one of the best places for a night out in the UK. In this tour, we will explore four aspects of a night out in Oxford through the ages: pubs, music venues, cinema and theatre, and St. Giles Fair, highlighting topics of celebrity, disorder, and hygiene. I hope you can join me on what promises to be an exciting and, at times, surprising, tour. Our guides will take you on their personalised highlights tour around the Museum, lasting 30-45 minutes with time for questions at the end. Meet in the Museum of Oxford’s Gift Shop, inside the Oxford Town Hall. Tours take place at least twice a month. Each tour has a capacity of 10 people. We recommend the tours for adults and children aged 12+. Tickets cost £2 per person and can be purchased online (booking fee applies) or at the Museum Shop.
