Work experience opportunities at the HA
Work experience can be a useful way to find out what kinds of careers and roles you are interested in and improve your employment prospects by gaining experience and skills, while demonstrating commitment to a particular career or subject area.
The HA is a small and busy charity with offices based near Kennington Tube Station in South London. We have a small and friendly staff team and offer a limited number of work experience placements each year depending on our office capacity and staff availability. If you are interested in undertaking a work experience placement with the HA please contact us with:
- A copy of your CV
- A short supporting statement (no more than 500 words) explaining why you wish to undertake a work experience placement at the HA and what you hope to gain from it
- Your dates of availability and preferred length of work experience (we recommend 1-2 weeks)
You must be over 18 to undertake a work experience placement with us.
Please note that our work experience placements are unpaid, however we will cover reasonable travel expenses for in-office attendance. Depending on the timing, length and nature of the placement, you may be asked to work part of the time in the office and part remotely, which reflects the working experience of our full-time staff. You may be asked to get involved in a range of different activities depending on where support is required.
